The Indian River County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of a K-9.
Dixie proudly served for 12 years with Deputy Reimsnyder.
The bloodhound was used to search for missing and/or endangered people, according to the department which said the bond between Dixie and her handler ran deep.
