A Palm Beach County 19-year-old is in facing charges after deputies say she performed surgery on a puppy from her suburban Lake Worth home.
Brandi Seipe appeared before a judge Wednesday morning.
Investigators say they got a complaint that she cropped a pit bull puppy's ears too short and then stitched them up with what looked like fishing line.
They also believe Seipe used some sort of sedation drug on the animal and was charging for her services.
Seipe is charged with practicing veterinary medicine without a license and animal cruelty.
She has been ordered to have no contact with animals.
