PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Shoppers are running out of time to buy Christmas presents, and the stores know that!
But there are several chain stores open Monday to accommodate procrastinators. Many stores are opening pretty early Monday and closing around dinner time.

According to the National Retail Federation's December survey, 24 percent of Americans were expected to buy their final gifts on the Saturday before Christmas.
However, more than 7 percent still wait until Christmas Eve.
"Honestly. I think people wait until the last minute because everyone likes to procrastinate.Like even myself, I still have to shop for my parents," said Christmas Eve shopper Shane Stockwell. "Everyone gets so caught up in work, the holidays and everything else going on, we almost forget to buy the gifts."

So, what is open and what’s closed on Christmas Eve? You can plan ahead but be sure to call your store to double check local hours:
- Academy Sports + Outdoors: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Apple: Most stores close at 5 or 6 p.m.; special store hours are listed at http://www.apple.com/retail.
- Bass Pro Shops: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Bealls Florida: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
