Fire Rescue personnel were called to the hotel under construction near the Palm Beach Convention center around 2:30 p.m. Saturday for reports of an industrial accident.
According to police, a woman operating a piece of heavy equipment at the Palm Beach Convention Center Hilton was severely burned when the equipment caught fire.
The woman was flown to Jackson Memorial Burn Center and is listed in critical condition. The fire has been ruled accidental.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
