A West Palm Beach police officer was suspended after a traffic crash. A second officer was reprimanded for not requesting that suspended officer be tested for drugs or alcohol.
An internal review found Sergeant Kevin Farrell operated a police car while he was off-duty in February 1, 2016. The reports shows Farrell was involved in a single-car crash after leaving Rachel's Gentleman's Club and Steakhouse.
The investigation says Farrell brought attention to himself while at the club before leaving and was in an impaired state.
The second officer, Lt. Francisco Alonso, was reprimanded because he did not issue any kind of testing to see if Farrell was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The review shows Farrell violated the department's Take Home Vehicle Policy, Standard of Conduct and Department Property-Loss/Damage-Negligence.
