Seven were broken in to at a hotel parking lot off Centrepark Drive. Five more were found with windows smashed at the Holiday Inn on Belvedere Road off Interstate 95.
Police were busy overnight looking at the damage and writing up reports. However, they said they won't be able to get an idea of what was taken until the people who own the vehicles arrive and can report what's missing.
Officers also checked other nearby parking lots for additional break-ins.
At the Tri-Rail lot, security officers were at the location until midnight. They came back at 3 a.m. and found the cars broken into.
Acting on a tip, a NewsChannel 5 photographer also found evidence of several vehicle break-ins at the Tennis Towers apartments in the city. Two residents told him someone entered between 10 and 15 cars and at least one vehicle was stolen.

So far police have found 27 cars broken into downtown-- there could be more. Check if your car is parked in a downtown WPB lot.
