A local restaurant chain is enabling people to restock their refrigerators and pick up a hot meal at the same time.
The West Palm Beach and Boynton Beach locations of Texas Roadhouse offered their customers the chance to buy produce for the second time this month on Saturday by re-introducing their drive-through farmer's market.
For $35, customers received a produce package that contained a dozen eggs, white onions, bananas, 5 pounds of potatoes and more.
Jacquelyn Roberts, managing partner of Texas Roadhouse, says they are always looking for ways to go outside the box and still provide support to their community and employees, "Curbside is great. To-go is great. But I think at Roadhouse, we always just try what can we do more for the community. So it's not necessarily about how much we are going to make. But it's about keeping the 'Roadies' to work. I am able to have about 28 right now whereas normally I would have four."
The restaurant is also selling ready-to-grill butcher packs that include steak.
The packs are available in three sizes and range from $42 to $124.
