Several of the population shelters in Palm Beach County are in desperate need of volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering and would like to assist with this very critical effort, please contact Assistant County Administrator Nancy Bolton at 561/601.5499.
Anyone interested is asked to contact with Nancy Bolton tonight as they will need volunteers to report to the various shelters by 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
Volunteers are asked to bring a change of clothing and be prepared to spend the night. Food and water will be provided for those who volunteer. Also, please check with Nancy Bolton as community service hours may be available.
The shelters that are in need of volunteers include:

- Palm Beach Gardens High School
- Independence Middle School
- Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School
- Seminole Ridge High School
- Forest Hill High School
- John I Leonard High School
- Park Vista High School
- Boynton Beach High School
- Atlantic High School
- West Boca High School
