WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- An upcoming 5K run at the Palm Beach Zoo will serve as a tribute to the lead keeper killed by a tiger, Stacey Konwiser.
Konwiser died after the attack last week.
Zoo leaders have not yet named the tiger involved amidst threats.
Konwiser's husband released a statement through the zoo spokesperson today, asking everyone to stand with the Palm Beach Zoo.
The upcoming benefit race will now be known as the Stacey Konwiser Memorial Save the Tiger 5K. The event will take place on May 14.
