SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A pedestrian was fatally struck near West Palm Beach Tuesday night.
John Andrew Dixon, 37, of West Palm Beach was crossing N. Military Trail in the 3100 block at 11:12 p.m. in what the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office describes as a "low light area".
Dixon was crossing in an area without a crosswalk and stepped in front of a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 truck.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck came to a controlled stop north of the collision and did not suffer any injuries.
