A 16-year teaching veteran received a surprise visit from the Superintendent of Palm Beach County Schools and a new title Tuesday: Palm Beach County's Teacher of the Year.
Stephen Anand heads the biology department at Dreyfoos School of the Arts.
He has been recognized several times in his career for his good work.
He's been a Dwyer Award finalist three times.
Now, it's on to the state competition.
