A brand new fire station, certified to withstand a Category Five hurricane, is now open in West Palm Beach.
Fire Station Four is on Parker Avenue near Flamingo Park and Grandview Heights.
The remodeled building reflects the look and feel of the community that firefighters protect.
"It was designed to mirror the kind of architecture the homes in this neighborhood have, so it's classic Spanish mission architecture," said West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio.
The 12,000 square foot facility replaces the original one built in the 1950s.
