WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The holiday weekend means more drivers on the road. Experts say it will be even busier this Memorial Day weekend because of low gas prices.

AAA says when you gas up this weekend, you’ll be paying about 40 cents less than this time a year ago. That’s saving a good amount of change when you fill up.

Today the average price of gas in West Palm Beach is $2.39. This time last year, it was $2.81.

Another reason people are choosing to drive rather than fly is to avoid those long TSA lines.

A useful app to download for up-to-date information on the roads is the 511 traffic app.

AAA says some of the most common problems drivers face are flat tires, dead batteries and getting locked out of their cars.
