Mobile shower truck for homeless debuts

Posted

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Every morning most of us do something some people only dream of; shower. A local company developed an innovative solution so those in need can shower too.

Inside the Live Fresh Palm Beach County mobile shower and hygiene facility is six individual restrooms. Each restroom has its own commode, shower and sink. A luxury for any one of more than 1,400 individuals and families who are homeless on any given day in Palm Beach County.

Chris Bentley is part of Live Fresh Palm Beach County and says those using the shower get a wash cloth, towel and toiletries.

“When an individual walks in it's like they're walking into a bathroom in a house,” Bentley detailed. “The only difference is this one can come to you as opposed to you having to be home."

The Live Fresh Palm Beach County mobile shower is towed behind a truck like any other trailer and the shower system works like those on an RV or tour bus.
