WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A 29-year-old man died early Saturday morning in a West Palm Beach crash.

West Palm Beach police say Eduardo Andon Jeres was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima southbound in the center lane of S. Military Trail approaching Summit Boulevard at 4:49 a.m. Saturday when he ran a red light at Summit Boulevard and collided into the rear of a tractor trailer turning onto S. Military Trail.

The police investigator says Jeres was traveling at a high rate of speed and alcohol may be a factor in the crash.

Jeres was pronounced dead at the scene.
