With the possibility of terrorism linked to the EgyptAir crash, travelers are on high alert here in Palm Beach County and local security experts are wondering what more needs to be done.
Today major airports like LAX are stepping up security.
Homeland Security has improved security over the years to check flights coming into the United States from overseas.
However former FBI agent Stuart Kaplan here in Palm Beach County says there needs to be an increase in baggage screening. He also reminds travelers to be more cautious traveling overseas.
"Our biggest concern is that if you board an aircraft outside the United States, those standards may not be as scrutinized or as strict as we are here presently," says Kaplan.
Travelers at Palm Beach International say security needs to be tighter.
"I feel as though they're infiltrating this country as well and just afraid those things are going to start happening here in this country," says Brent Anderson.
Kaplan reminds travelers if they see something, to say something.
