Crews from West Palm Beach Fire Rescue were called to the Palm Beach County Courthouse Thursday morning.
Officials said a white powder was found in the mail room.
They said testing revealed it was harmless, but it's still not clear what the substance is.
First responders temporarily closed Banyan between Quadrille and Dixie Highway, during the investigation.
