WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A Greenacres man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday in West Palm Beach.
At approximately 3:25 a.m. an unknown black vehicle was traveling northbound on S. Broadway near Bloxham Street.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Christopher M. Morales-Novotny was walking northbound on Broadway next to the solid white painted line, which denoted the roadway edge from the grass area.
FHP said the suspect vehicle's right side mirror struck Morales-Novotny, which projected him onto the roadway.
He came to final rest in the eastbound travel lane of W. Bloxham Street.
After the crash, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
FHP said the suspect's vehicle may be an Ebony Black 2011 - 2014 Kia Optima, or a Black Pearl 2015 Kia Optima Aurora. The vehicle is missing its right outside mirror.
