It’s Martin and Palm Beach Counties biggest fundraising day of the year.
The third annual 24-hour Great Give is underway.
The online push raises money for 504 non-profits.
One of those is Clinics Can Help, an organization that raises money to buy medical equipment for disabled children.
“It's very expensive medical equipment that it's hard for families to afford,” said Owen O’Neill, the founder of Clinics Can Help. “And so it makes a big difference for a child's mobility, their independence and their dignity.”
Another non-profit participating in Great Give is the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County. Donations made today will help homeless families get into housing.
“It make a difference of whether or not you're going to have to tell your kids that we're going to wash up at McDonald's today and then drop you off at school, or they're going to be able to go to their own apartment and be able to relax in their own bed,” explained Marilyn Munoz, the executive director of the Homeless Coalition, from the 5th Annual Senator Philip D. Lewis Center luncheon at the Kravis Center.
You have until midnight to donate to Great Give.
