WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Emotions ran high at a court hearing for the Riviera Beach man accused of killing his wife.

Dwight Luton is accused of shooting Ashley Balius in the head and trying to cover it up as a suicide.

A judge denied bond for Luton during the hearing.

Afterwards her family members followed his defense attorney.

“I hope he spends the rest of his life in jail, he murdered her,” one woman said.

“Sleep well tonight, buddy,” a man in the group said.

“I hope you never get any sleep,” the woman added.

Police say surveillance cameras outside the house recorded Luton with what appeared to be a firearm and reach into the vehicle shortly before his wife was shot.

They said Luton was also seen wiping down the dashboard before calling police.
