Dale McNeil, a Palm Beach County firefighter who was fighting for his life at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, has died.
McNeil was diagnosed in November with giant cell myocarditis, an extremely rare heart condition.

He went into a cardiac arrest just months after being married and was put into a medically induced coma.
Doctors from all over the world were working to get McNeil a new heart. He went through multiple surgeries, but lost his battle to the disease.
