Crane tips over in West Palm Beach

A 130 foot crane tipped over at a construction site in downtown West Palm Beach Friday.

It happened near the intersection of Evernia Street and Quadrille Boulevard.

Workers were drilling for the All Aboard Florida project about 40 feet from tracks, according to West Palm Beach Fire Rescue.

A spokesperson said a drill bit got caught and the momentum caused the 110 ton crane to flip.

FEC officials are on scene because of the proximity to the railroad tracks.

It's possible the incident could affect trains using the FEC tracks.

There were no injuries.
