Christmas Eve is normally a night for pumpkin pies and apple pie.  But what about pizza pies?

“I’m actually surprised at how many deliveries we’re doing,” said Jennifer Morales, co-owner of Pizza Girls in downtown West Palm Beach.

Believe it or not, Christmas Eve for Pizza Girls on Clematis Street is bringing in the dough, and a lot of it.

“It’s a good night for us,” said Morales.

Morales says they normally stay open on Christmas Eve knowing a handful of folks are searching for something still open.

“Everyone’s so friendly. It’s a feel good atmosphere.”

She says it started to become profitable when downtown became a destination for Christmas festivities.

“Ever since Sandi Tree started across the street, business just comes down all the time just a lot more people coming down,” said Morales.

And the customers appreciate having somewhere to go.

Pizza Girls will be closed on Christmas Day. The bigger seller Thursday night was, of course, cheese pizza.
