BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A local veteran will go on his first honor flight to Washington D.C. in May and the Boynton Beach Police Department is asking the community to make this trip even more memorable.
Charles Jackson is a Korean veteran and father of a Boynton Beach Police employee.
Honor Flight takes veterans to the nation's capital to visit and reflect at their memorials.
On the plane ride home they have mail call from the community to help thank Mr. Jackson for his service by writing letters or postcards that will be given to him on the flight.
