WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Dozens of people turned out at Dreher Park for autism awareness.
This morning, the organization, Blooming with Autism, held its first annual 5K Walk/Run.
The walk started at 7:15 a.m. The run at 8 a.m.
About 100 people registered. They wore sunglasses of all shapes and sizes to promote autism acceptance.
Money raised will go to children and adults with autism to help pay for therapy so that “Every Child Can Bloom!”
This was the organization’s first annual event.
