He spoke at the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach CountyLove of Literacy Luncheon Thursday.
Baladacci says illiteracy carries a difficult stigma to break. "You empower people. You allow them to make choices about what they want to do to improve their lives by offering a selection of courses they can take in a classroom setting with people of similar circumstances."
Baldacci's Wish You Well Foundation helps establish literacy programs for adults and families.
