She is the managing partner and a founding partner of Ackerman, Link & Sartory. Her expertise is in commercial real estate, asset-based financing, and general corporate law. She also holds many leadership positions around the state, including on the State University System Board of Governors.
Link, a Republican, said she will serve the next two years and does not plan to run for reelection in 2020.
"It’s critically important to me that all the people in Palm Beach County have confidence in our ability to run smooth elections and that the rest of the state and the nation have that confidence going forward as well," she said after the governor introduced her at an afternoon news conference.
"Like all of you I love the great state of Florida, particularly Palm Beach County for me. This is where my brothers and I grew up. It's where it's been my home most of my adult life. It's where I raised my three beautiful sons and my family has strong roots here as well," Link said.
Link, a Duke University School of Law graduate, said she has a lot to learn and is ready to get started. She said she will work hard to earn the trust and respect of voters.
