One person is in custody and another is being sought after a woman was carjacked overnight near West Palm Beach.
At about 9:15 p.m. Monday, officers responded to an armed carjacking along the 3900 block of Caribbean Village.
A woman, who was not hurt, told police that two men demanded her valuables then forcibly removed her from her white four-door Mazda.
Police said at least one of the men was armed with a gun.
At about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said they located the Madza near the intersection of Congress Avenue and Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard.
A PBSO helicopter provided officers with the location of the Mazda as officers followed the car.
Police said the passenger bailed out of the car in the area of 45th Street and Congress Ave. The passenger in the vehicle remains at large.
The driver, identified as 18-year-old Ricky Bannister of Riviera Beach, continued westbound until he crashed into a wall at 45th Street and Corporate Way.
Officers said Bannister fled on foot toward a Burger King located at 5501 Corporate Way but was later taken into custody behind the restaurant.
