Several foster kids in Palm Beach County received a great honor Thursday.
During a graduation at ChildNet in West Palm Beach, 25 students were awarded free laptops.
The students are graduating with high school diplomas, GEDs and college degrees.
ChildNet works with abused, neglected and abandoned youth.
David Sarris is a product of the support they provide. He is graduating from Palm Beach State College and headed to Florida Atlantic University.
Sarris said his new laptop will be invaluable to his career.
"It’s going to make it a lot easier for me to get my work done, and I’m going to be able to work from any location and to be able to continue doing all my work,” Sarris said.
He plans to study social work and says he was inspired to help other foster kids because of the people that helped him.
AT&T Pioneers donated the laptops valued at $10,000.
