1 dead, 1 injured in West Palm Beach shooting

SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- One person was killed and another injured in a West Palm Beach shooting Saturday evening.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has identified the deceased victim as 27-year-old Randall Cleveland of West Palm Beach.

West Palm Beach police say the shooting happened outside of an apartment located at 4163 N. Haverhill Road.

They responded to a shots fired call around 7 p.m. and located the two people. Upon further investigation they determined that the two men were shot around 4500 block of Haverhill Road and continued down the road until stopping at the 4100 block.

West Palm Beach police contacted the Palm Beach County Sheriffs' Office to take over the investigation. For hours residents living in the area were not allowed near their homes while detectives investigated.

A spokesperson with the police department says they believe this was a targeted shooting.
