The latest model of the iPhone hit the market Friday.
Across south Florida, customers waited in line for hours to get their hands on the new phone.
At the Apple store in the Mall at Wellington Green, customers started lining up at midnight Thursday night for the phone.
"I got here at 2 a.m. and it was a long wait outside, standing up the whole time," said Jordan Saad.
Saad said he waits in line for every new launch, adding that it's worth the time and money.
For this latest version, Saad spent $769 on each phone.
"You have to pay money to have the nicest things," he said.
The new phone touts a better camera and faster operating system than the older models. It's also water and dust resistant.
The one problem some users complained about was that it no longer has a earplug jack. The latest model gives customers the old headphone set with an adaptor to plug into the same jack you use for charging your phone.
The company will sell wireless headphones in the coming months, but they are said to be quite pricey.
