WELLINGTON, Fla. — A new coronavirus testing site is now available for residents in the western communities of Palm Beach County.

The testing site is located in Wellington at the Village Park Gymnasium at 11700 Pierson Rd.

Testing is free and open to patients 12 and over with or without symptoms of the virus. An appointment must be scheduled.

“We would like to make sure that everybody does show up with a face covering, and that is something required. If for some reason you don’t have one, or are unable to have one, when you get here we will provide one for you,” said Jim Barnes, the assistant village manager for Wellington.

The tests being used are nasal swabs with results available between five to seven days.

The site is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Depending on demand, organizers said the testing site should remain open for about three weeks.

This testing site was made possible through a partnership with Palm Beach County, the village of Wellington and Premiere Family Health.
