The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Foundation held its fourth annual youth scholarship fundraiser Sunday at the International Polo Club in Wellington.
Ten high school seniors each received a $2,500 scholarship for their first year of college. Those scholarships are renewable for four years.
A key part of the sheriff's foundation program is that in order to apply, each student must be nominated by a PBSO deputy.
Every year the foundation awards $100,000 in youth scholarships.
