City leaders in Wellington held a remembrance ceremony to mark 15 years since 9/11.
The ceremony was held at the patriotic memorial next to village hall.
The memorial includes one of the largest steal beams salvaged from the World Trade Center and glass panels with the names of each victim.
City leaders spoke to the crowd about the lives lost along with Mark Harris, a paramedic who responded to the World Trade Center.
They told the crowd to never forget the victims, remember their stories and how this changed our country forever.
Among those in the crowd was Yolanda Kuznetz who was in the South Tower.
"I want everyone to know about it. I don't care if you're not born yet. You should know about this. I teach my daughter about it. It's very important you never forget. If you forget it can happen again," says Kuznetz.
Yolanda says even 15 years later it still feels painful.
