Expect to see a lot more kids on the sidewalks as you head to work Friday morning.
Students at 60 schools across Palm Beach County will participate in International Walk to School Day.
It’s a nationwide effort to promote exercise and safety as kids head to class.
Organizers want to teach kids to walk without distractions like headphones and cellphones.
Safe Kids Palm Beach County, a group that works to prevent unintentional childhood injury, will also be giving out bike helmets to kids.
The original walk to school day was scheduled for last week but was postponed because of Hurricane Matthew.

Great to see so many parents walking with their kids! One dad told me he enjoyed just having an extra few minutes to talk to his son @WPTV pic.twitter.com/RZ2KR9gn89
