Sunday was a day of giving for more than 20,000 members of a South Florida church.
At Christ Fellowship churches across our area, volunteers packed more than 480,000 meals.
One meal option was rice-based, the other oatmeal.
Half of the meals will go to local families in need.
The other half will go to refugees in the Middle East.
Event organizer Nick Mills said, "There's just not a lot of help for these people. They're being taken out of their current situation and taken to other countries and they just don't have anything - no place to call home, so having the opportunity to take meals to them is just a great need."
Each meal feeds 6 people. They will be shipped to the Middle East in the next few weeks.
