The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating video of a fight posted online.
A junior at Santaluces Community High School says he was beaten on his walk home from school.
The teen’s mom says he was seriously hurt and taken to Delray Medical Center with blood coming from his nose, ears and eye.
She says the video was posted on a website called worldstarfights that highlights school fights.
“He is not really talking about it. He is walking around depressed. He is very upset about it He is embarrassed. He is afraid to walk down the street because he thinks everyone is judging him now because he didn't fight back,” his mother says.
She says her son is now being home-schooled.
Bullying expert Dawn Marie Basham says fight videos posted online make a bad situation so much worse.
“Back in the day a fight was over and people forgot about it. This fight… this is only beginning because now this is out there forever,” Basham says.
The Palm Beach County School District is also investigating the incident.
