MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 5-year-old Palm Beach County boy and his family waited more than a year for a moment that came on Monday.
Slater Bushman has bravely battled cancer for 425 days.

The staff at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis delivered some incredible news to him and his family this week.
"This is the time we get to say, make up your bags, get out that door, you don't get chemo anymore!” said the staff.
Slater received word he is in remission from Stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma.
WPTV has been following his journey since the beginning, which included community fundraisers held last year.
With the announcement that he is cancer free, Slater is now returning home to South Florida.
His family has chronicled Slater's journey on Facebook, thanking St. Jude and Slater's doctor.
