ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. — A 60-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash involving a car and his bike in Royal Pam Beach early Sunday, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
At 6:36 a.m., Palm Beach County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to a crash at State Road 7 and Erica Boulevard, the agency said in an inquiry from WPTV.

A MC Sany motorcycle, ridden by Freddy E. Sedeno Gonzalez, of Lantana, was northbound on SR 7 stopped at a red light waiting to turn onto Erica Boulevard, according to the PBSO crash report, which was released Monday.

A 2020 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 19-year-old Palm Springs woman, was southbound on SR 7, approaching the intersection.

The northbound signal turned green but it is unknown if the westbound traffic had a green light.

The motorcycle entered the intersection to make a westound turn as the Toyota entered the intersection to continue south. The car collided with the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was ejected and thrown to the sidewalk at the southwest corner of the intersection.

Gonzalez was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where he was pronounced dead. The other driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Also early Sunday, a 54-year-old man died when his car collided with a tree in Greenacres.

The crash was reported at 2:46 a.m. in the 600 block of Sea Pine Way, east of Jog Road, according to a PBSO crash report.

Julio Olveira Azcue was driving a 2019 Nissan Sentra northbound on Sea Pine Way when the car drifted to the right of the east shoulder and struck a tree.

He was taken to Wellington Regional Hospital where he later died.
