Two Palm Beach County School District plumbers have been recognized for their efforts in intervening with a dangerous situation at a school campus recently. Superintendent Robert Avossa awarded his final “game ball” of the school year to Mr. Jimmy Johnson and Mr. Aaron Glover after the two men got involved in breaking up a violent stabbing late last month at Royal Palm Beach High School.

The men helped the victim and confronted the suspected, helping to de-escalate the situation while law enforcement and first responders were called.

The stabbing occurred on the morning of May 25 inside of a bathroom at the school. Witnesses say there was a crowd surrounding two students during the attack. The school went into a code yellow lockdown, so no one could enter or leave the campus until school police were done with their investigation. The lockdown was lifted shortly after the attack.

The stabbing suspect, who is a student, was immediately apprehended and taken into custody. He is facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon on school grounds.

“You all make us so #‎PBCPublicProud,” the school district said in a Facebook post.
