Police are looking for assistance from the public to locate a 15-year-old Riviera Beach boy.
Devron K. Hardwick was reported missing by his mother on Jan. 30. He has not been seen by family members since Jan. 15.
Police say when he left his home in Riviera Beach on that date, he told his mother he was going to the Palm Beach Gardens Mall with a friend. His mother says she did not become alarmed immediately because there are other times when he has stayed away from home for two or three days.
Additionally, he was communicating frequently with his mother via Facebook. His mother tells police that she made constant unsuccessful attempts to convince him to return home. She has also contacted Devron's friends to attempt to locate him, but was met with negative results.
Police said Devron's mother has become alarmed during the last few days because she has no proof that the person sending her Facebook messages is really Devron.
She says she has not actually heard his voice since Jan. 15 and she is concerned that the messages may be the work of someone trying to cover up what is really going on with her son.
Devron does not have any significant health issues. He is described as about 6 feet tall, weighing about 150 pounds. He has medium length hair in a dreadlock style and was last seen wearing black clothing.
