Riviera Beach police say detectives are investigating a reported attempted abduction involving a teenage girl from a bus stop Monday morning.

The alleged incident happened near Avenue O and W. 7th St.

Police have not yet described the person they are looking for. However, police say they were able to get the license plate of a vehicle used in the incident.

Police say they traced it to a vehicle reported stolen in Boynton Beach. They identified it as a Hyundai SUV.

“She had to fight for her life. She fought. That’s why they didn’t get her,” said the teenager’s father Herman McCray. “I immediately was like this can’t be happening.”

McCray says his daughter noticed a black truck
speed by then circle back around.

He said there were three woman and a man inside. The man, according to McCray, went after his daughter.

“We just want this to be solved. We just want the streets to be protected."
