$25,000 reward to solve golf club murder

Officials have upped the reward in an attempt to solve a cold case murder in Palm Beach County.

Cynthia Moffett  was found dead at Forest Oaks Golf Club in suburban Lake Worth  in March of 2006. She was working alone at the time of the crime.

Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office say Moffett was shot twice in the torso.  Her body was found just outside the pro shop, investigators said.

They believe she was shot during a robbery.  A number of the coins were found a distance from the pro shop, sheriff’s officials said.

“She was a kind-hearted person, didn’t have any enemies. Worked at the golf club for quite some time and was well-like by all the people who attended the golf club,” said PBSO Detective Jeff Weissman in an interview posted on the sheriff’s office YouTube channel.

Investigators believe there were a number of people involved The reward to solve her slaying is now up to $25,000.
