PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A double homicide suspect from Palm Beach County has been tracked down and arrested in Cleveland.

The U.S. Marshals Service said 25-year-old Raymond Diaz was in the back seat of a car on Oct. 2 when he executed the driver and front seat passenger, Daniel Del Valle and Osvaldo Gomez-Alberto, by shooting them in the back of the head.

Deputies said they responded to a car into an apartment at the Palo Verde Apartment Complex in the 6100 block of Forest Hill Boulevard, and found the deceased men.

After the shooting, Diaz fled to Cleveland to stay with family, according to investigators.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on Thursday. The U.S. Marshal Service, Cleveland Division, took Diaz in custody at a family member’s home in Cleveland.

"Let this be a wakeup call for any fugitive that thinks he can outrun the reach of the Marshals Service," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. "Our reach is nationwide, and we will not rest until we find our fugitive. This violent fugitive was caught within 24 hours of the warrant being issued because of a great working relationship between law enforcement in Palm Beach and Cleveland."

Diaz is currently awaiting extradition back to Palm Beach County, where he'll face two counts of First Degree Murder, according to the Sheriff's Office.
