Missing man with autism found safe

UPDATE: Malachi James Robinson-Gillis was found "safe and sound" Monday night, said Palm Springs officials.

Palm Springs police are searching for a missing man who has autism.

Malachi James Robinson-Gillis, 22, was dropped off at the Palm Beach Habilitation Center, located at 4522 S. Congress Ave., around 8:45 a.m. Monday.

Police said Robinson-Gillis was last seen around 9:25 a.m. walking southbound on S. Congress Avenue.

Robinson-Gillis is approximately 5 feet 6 inches with a medium build, short curly hair, and glasses. He was last seen wearing a pink colored polo shirt, khaki pants, and brown shoes.

Police said Robinson-Gillis is from Royal Palm and may be heading in that direction.
