You might be feeling the cooler, crisp, humidity free air right about now. It’s a sign “the season” is underway and we’ve discovered the snowbirds are moving in.
If you take a short drive, you might also notice all the different license plates you can now spot around town.
“We usually love to come down at the end of October, November,” said one snowbird from Toronto. “It’s our favorite season down here.”
There are other signs that the snowbirds have started to arrive.
“You can tell just by the capacity in the restaurants.”
However, it may be the locals who notice it the most. “The congestion on the roads is ridiculous,” said Rick Wentley, who owns a shop on Palm beach.
At the same time, the so- called season means money is to be made.
“The week before Thanksgiving business lights up,” said Wentley.
