PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The unsolved mystery of a baby found floating in the Boynton Beach Inlet almost one year ago took center stage on Friday morning.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office held a news conference, saying it's received 22 tips in the Baby June case. However, none have produced any leads about who she or her parents are.
"We're not getting lucky in this case at this point," said Capt. Steven Strivelli, who revealed on Friday that Baby June's cause of death was suffocation.
PBSO said an off-duty firefighter found the infant, who was two weeks old, floating in 75 to 100 feet of water on June 1, 2018. Strivelli said she was likely in the water for a few days.
Detectives named the child Baby June and are investigating her death as a homicide.
Strivelli said on Friday PBSO has checked the birthing records of 700 babies born in Palm Beach and Broward Counties in the time frame when detectives believe Baby June was born.
Baby June's umbilical cord was clipped and her heel was pricked, which is commonly done for a blood test, meaning she was likely born in a hospital or medical center.
"At this point, we have not located any possible family members," said Strivelli. "We hate seeing this stuff."
PBSO said leads in the case have dried up, and a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
