Palm Beach County students could see some changes to the school calendar next year.
One of the biggest changes the district will consider is making the Thanksgiving holiday a week long, instead of just three days.
The proposed calendar also eliminates early release days and late start days for students.
The plan will add an extra preschool day, which is a planning day for teachers and not a school day for students
The changes do not impact the length of the school year, when it starts and ends, or pay for any employees.
District leaders will present the proposal to the school board at a meeting starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
