The Palm Beach County School District posted bus routes and schedules Wednesday for the new school year.

Parents can visit the district’s website and enter their home address, your child's school and select the a.m. or p.m. route.

The transportation call center will be open Aug.10 through Aug. 12 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 561-242-6565 or 561-357-1110.

The transportation call center will also open Aug. 13 and Aug. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 561-242-6565 or 561-357-1110.

Starting Aug. 15, the transportation call center is open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 561-242-6565 or 561-357-1110.

All calls are logged, and messages left will be returned. The call center can answer questions in English, Spanish and Creole.

The school district has 697 bus drivers for 647 routes -- a surplus of 50 drivers. However, bus drivers are continually being hired.

The district said this school year, there is no need to pre-register for scheduled bus routes. Transportation and school administration can use GPS to track school buses in route to check stops made, delays and bus speed.

"While we make every effort possible to be on time, starting from the first day of school, we expect there will be some delays in the first couple of weeks of school," said Dr. Donald Fennoy, the district's chief operating officer.
