PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Palm Beach County deputies have arrested a man for a deadly shooting over the weekend.
According to the Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Johnathan Ramon Vela shot and killed 67-year-old Lazaro Orgaz Pineiro in the 100 block of Tropical Avenue in unincorporated West Palm Beach.
Someone took Pineiro to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Vela was already in jail on a charge of Carrying a Concealed Weapon/Unlicensed Firearm.
On Wednesday, he was booked on an in-custody charge for First Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
